Cape Otway Lightstation
Established in 1848, is the oldest surviving lighthouse on the Australian mainland and a premier historical destination on the Great Ocean Road. The precinct offers visitors the chance to climb the 20-meter sandstone tower, explore a secret WWII Radar Bunker, and learn about the heritage of the local Gadubanud People. The site is a hub for wildlife spotting and home to the Lightkeeper’s Café, which is housed in the original 1859 quarters and is famous for its homemade scones.
"So much history and a climb up in the lighthouse. We ended up spending 3 hours there which included delicious scones and coffee at the cafe."
